    This movie has a very repulsive gaze. It often feels we're looking through an harasser's lenses and that we are supposed to think he is in the right. Even if ¡Átame! was an Almodóvar's attempt to portrait Stockholm Syndrome, to make a satire or whatever, he totally failed in it. For no matter what he tried to say, what really came out was misogyny all the way.

    ¡Átame! romanticises kidnaping, violence against women, abusive behaviour etc. It excuses Ricky's actions…
