a faithful adaptation that captures the unsettling horror of the book, but i do wish it had been a little more slow and lingering, rather than harsh and jarring. also kind of disappointed that the solemn ending was replaced at the last second with a dynamite explosion (literally), the reason for which i imagine could only have been sensationalism—and kind of disappointed that josef k.'s final, gutting words were never uttered: "like a dog!"
