A Woman Under the Influence 1974
Transfixed by Gena’s tics early in the film; she is so relatable, like, you either know someone who acts l this way or you are that person. Either way it’s so human. Phenomenal and phenomenally strange acting. The scene where she asks her father to stand up for her broke my heart. She is speaking plainly and yet no one around her can see the wood for the trees.
