A masterpiece that exposes the corruption within the French Army of World War 1 and, by extension, the corruption of the puppet masters behind that war.
The performance by Kirk Douglas is second to none.
I write this review on the 5th Anniversary of his death.
Rest in peace good sir and friend of humanity.

Great Russian film based on the history of Czar Russia and Soviet Russia.
Any flaws there were in the system under the Czars was at least 10 times worse under Lenin and Stalin, and the movie showed that starting with Czar Russia and ending with Soviet Russia.

It's a great movie. There's so much that could be said about David Lean and Peter O'Toole and Alec Guinness and the amazing desert scenes. But one thing that probably doesn't get highlighted as much in reviews is the really cool 15 minute Intermission in the movie. Most movies don't have an intermission so I found that feature of the film really cool. I'm sure that was probably a David Lean idea. But definitely a 5 Star movie!

Great World War 2 movie made in 1940 right during the height of the war between Britain and Germany. Great historically accurate depiction of the German military uniforms. I love trains, so I loved the train ride to Munich and then the great escape to Switzerland at the end. My great grandfather was Swiss, so I have always had a deep love for my ancestral homeland.
