Man of Steel isn't quite what I was expecting. I had avoided the previews as I typically do with a movie I intend to see anyways, so I was pleasantly surprised that by-and-large we avoided 45 minutes of growing-up-in-Kansas and Clark being a clumsy newspaper man.
