Malcolm X 1992
Such an interesting man and a great movie. Washington is immense and really carries all the nuance of Malcolm's different life stages. Lee's direction is fantastic, always being engaging and cinematic which I think is a hard feat for a biopic. A bit long but realistically I've spent hours since just researching more about Malcolm's different speeches.

Babe: Pig in the City 1998
George Miller is a wild director, I'm not exactly why this film has reached such cult status, I'm assuming it's more popular with Americans? I don't think it has the same charm as the original but the animals are great and the set design is very intriguing. However besides that I don't think there's anything else interesting about it.

Seven Samurai 1954
Masterpiece. Don't know if there's anything more to say, after three and a half hours I still wanted more. Just stop reading this and go fucking watch this again.

Blue Velvet 1986
My first entry into the surreal world of Lynch was great. I loved the overall feel of this film which is difficult to describe but most certainly weird. I really got into its perverse kinky side and the character Frank is something that is going to stay with me for a while. But Blue Velvet's greatest strength is its depth, there seems to be so much going on with every character and numerous themes and ideas are explored. *POSSIBLE SPOILER*…
