Miyamoto is a great actress. She always puts her whole body into a role. This wasn’t as good as the first one, but it did have its moments. Itami is great at balancing different genres.

Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah 1991
Not as good as the previous film in the series, but goofy as ever. I love how out there this film was. This really went back to how absurd the late Showa era films were. The theme song will always be amazing.

The House on Telegraph Hill 1951
At points this felt like a different take on Suspicion. Some cool shots thrown in, and menacing performances to really make it seem like she was going crazy. All in all, a movie like this really shows how the term “noir” is actually pretty broad application.

I loved the blood splatter. The way the drama is handled reminded me of some of the great films in Japanese cinema. The framing during the sword fight scenes was incredible.
