  so much to say about this film but in a nutshell it just really hit home for me.
  i feel like a lot of us can relate to both david and benji in some capacity and the writing was just perfect - such depth and emotional weight to every character.

  not bad, a little bit boring but i liked most of it.
  i liked how the film explored themes of homophobia, racism, xenophobia and sexism amongst these cardinals who are trying to vote for the next pope.
  the irony being that these men are meant to be morally sound at the very least - people can make mistakes etc but these men are supposed to at least have their moral compasses aligned well.

  didn’t have high expectations going into this so i wasn’t toooo disappointed 😁🙃

  that being said, i thought the second half was way better than the first half.
  too many moments, some dialogue and the overall score (especially in the first half) just had me cringing and thinking wow is this what we’re doing 😭

  marvel still using elements of the same formula from 10+ years ago, just don’t hit the same no more and it won’t because the stars…

  not great but i didn’t hate it.
  i think the fact that he’s maximus’ son kept me intrigued - that and denzel 🙂‍↕️
  kind of an interesting plot too but, for me this film didn’t feel as epic as it wanted to be.
  this is also a risk taken with sequels cause it’s very hard to recreate the same feeling for the film again but you just can’t recreate the magnetism that russell crowe had as maximus.
