  ffs man.
  this is so realistic it’s sad.

  i really wished they both said fuck it and actually got with each other but they just couldn’t bring themselves to be like their partners, they feared what people would think of them and they feared the consequences of getting together.
  so many near misses and what-ifs by the end too its just so painstaking.

  for anyone that’s experienced love or some sort of connection with someone, you can always look back…

  A Real Pain 2024

  so much to say about this film but in a nutshell it just really hit home for me.
  i feel like a lot of us can relate to both david and benji in some capacity and the writing was just perfect - such depth and emotional weight to every character.

  humour was great too but the only thing i would’ve wanted more from thus film is a more intense ending - i feel like it kinda just glosses over how…

  didn’t have high expectations going into this so i wasn’t toooo disappointed 😁🙃

  that being said, i thought the second half was way better than the first half.
  too many moments, some dialogue and the overall score (especially in the first half) just had me cringing and thinking wow is this what we’re doing 😭

  marvel still using elements of the same formula from 10+ years ago, just don’t hit the same no more and it won’t because the stars…

  not great but i didn’t hate it.
  i think the fact that he’s maximus’ son kept me intrigued - that and denzel 🙂‍↕️
  kind of an interesting plot too but, for me this film didn’t feel as epic as it wanted to be.
  this is also a risk taken with sequels cause it’s very hard to recreate the same feeling for the film again but you just can’t recreate the magnetism that russell crowe had as maximus.
