Excision 2012
Occasionally corny in the ways I am least sympathetic to, but also I have a lot of patience for corniness. But also it doesn't really matter because Traci Lords pulls off two beats at the end of this that make the whole movie. The horror of the nuclear family ultimately visiting upon everyone.

As with the one other Tamakichi Anaru film I've seen the most interesting thing is how blasé & detached snuff film crew is. Something that resolves a little more for me here as they seem to lack even the cynicism to more spectacularly stage their subjects. Then the spartan production and performances in the first two sequence accumulate various verisimilitudinous details familiar enough to me from my own depressive episodes to have a power.

Tumbling Doll of Flesh 1998
Just about the only interesting thing about this is that snuff film guys seem almost checked out. Like they don't even consistently take a sadistic pleasure in their work outside of a couple specific story beats among many more listless moments from them. When they justify their abuse before the gory physical violence begins as just the nature of the job, perhaps they really mean it.
