A Haunting in Venice 2023
Fun stytlistically with the gothic venician set design, but the core tenants of what makes a murder mystery good are all absent.
Characters are flat, the complexity is low and the clues outside of meta knowledge are lacking or on the nose. I think just about anyone would know the murderer by the midpoint of the second act.
It does the minimum in a genre I love and therefore I am legally required to not dislike this film, but it's nothing special.

Bad Trip 2021
This is my second time trying to watch this thing. It always takes the most predictable and easy to make jokes, to the point where you can see how they will end while the setup happens.
On top of this there aren't any interesting audience reactions, you know in Borat you would have a fairly wide variety of reactions? This has - 'people being shocked' and thats really it. That gorilla scene made me turn the movie off.
