Documentaries like this are why im such an asshole about netflix style docos. Any time I see dramatic re-enactments or over the top narration it's such a turn off for me and just feels lazy.
However when you see something this well edited, researched, soundtracked, FOLEYED (never had more of an appreciation for the foley artist in a film), and oozing with style whilst still educating and making a point... Its just in a completely different lane.

fuck this movie. the trailer looked so good and i was expecting a creepy paranormal activity style horror and instead i got NETFLIX SLOP.
i dont know how people who have such a passable writing and directing history produce something this bad. cliche at every single possible turn and terrible acting, the most millenial dialogue ive ever heard. lucy liu straight up hits us with a "um... so that just happened" whoever approved this script needs execution.
