A gothic monster tale told under the guise of the American South? A masterfully directed picture utilizing European filmmaking techniques??Interesting characters with purpose??? An investing plot with great pacing???? Insanely good cinematography????? Great commentary on religion, greed, the state of America at the time?????Absolute classic. Absolute banger.
