Early on, Saltburn really had the catchings of a Great Gatsby retelling, namely because of the presence of a zealously idolising yet underprivileged narrator who acts as a conduit into the opulent life of upperclass starlet. Not even to mention the subtle dash of homoeroticism.
The film is generally quite boring until the first twist.
