Pam Cook was wrong. This is the most feminist film I’ve ever watched. Jake did not lose his masculinity, he just realised that being a “man” doesn’t mean being a human.

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
I think this film illustrates ideology quite clearly, if not a bit too clearly that it makes the film… clean cut. Like you can compartmentalise each action and character once you match them with the metaphor, and they tuck neatly into this box and the lid goes on it and… that’s it.
The institution is supposedly a heterototpia, but it is no different from the world outside, where most people eat three meals a day, etc., and follow the rules.…Translated from by
