  Possibly because I’m sick at the moment and my iq goes down several levels when sick but this was very entertaining. Kinda miss this era of comedy movies, maybe not the most high brow comedy but I found it enjoyable. Paul is a relic of the mid 2010’s, when the pinnacle of humor was the words “fuck & balls”. While the humor really leans into that I still found some kind of enjoyment from it. Also the CGI for Paul is weirdly great considering it’s from 2011.

  Glad to see an action movie with a character with a disability that is just awesome. Novocaine is such a fun time, Jack Quaid is hilarious as usual and the action is pretty fun. Love how Nathan’s disability is used as an advantage in fight scenes with amazing uses for his disability in the fights too (getting stabbed, grabbing a gun out of a deep fryer etc). My only complaint (though I shouldn’t be surprised) are the villains. For some…

  Mark Ruffalo’s veneers were so crazy in this he had to talk like a horse about half the time. 

  Definitely need to watch one or two more times but I feel ever so slightly dissatisfied. While Robert Pattinson is certainly great (alongside basically every other cast member) and plays multiple versions of himself perfectly, there are a multitude of other things that distract me from the positives a bit.   HOLY SHIT GREAT TIMING ON MY PART 

  Best picture winner Anora is so great. So great that the sex worker industry got recognized by a very polite film with great, powerful characters. Also if my parents walked in at any point during my watch I think it would’ve been hard to persuade them that I was watching it because of the Oscar’s.
