  Film, to me, has always been poetry. Poetry takes what’s inside of us, our deepest and most interior feelings, and presents them outward for an audience to see. Film does the same, only with images instead of the written word. David Lynch was a poet.
  
  It is impossible to put into words what David Lynch and the art that he brought into the world has meant to me.
