    The Greatest Show on Earth

    ★★

    Combined Score: 1.9/5

    Spence: 2/5
    Matthew: 2/5
    Koho: 2/5
    Jack: 2/5
    Alex: 1.5/5

    Our Consensus:
While remaining of the greatest upsets in Oscars history, The Greatest Show on Earth feels much more like a bloated commercial for the circus rather than a true piece of film. James Stewart deserved some recognition for carrying the film.

    Our Consensus
The second color film to win Best Picture dazzles with brilliant cinematography, vibrant costumes and intricate choreography. Gene Kelly puts on a showcase in a role that deserved an Academy Award nomination. While some may find the screenplay or performances as a whole rather lacking, we all agree the Dance Ballet sequence is one of the best numbers in musical cinema.

    The Consensus
Regarded as one of the greatest films of all-time, Casablanca more than lives up to expectations! Michael Curtiz delivers a true masterpiece in every sense of the word. Humphrey Bogart's cool and detached acting style works perfectly for Rick and Ingrid Bergman shines as Ilsa Lund! Though the love story may not work for some, the cinematography, score, production design and editing more than make…

    The Consensus
What a movie! Cavalcade is a mess in every sense of the word. Editing that would likely give a viewer whiplash, a barely existent plot and many other issues make this movie nearly unbearable to sit through. Diana Wynyard stands out, barely, among the large ensemble of characters but is ultimately nothing special in this rather unremarkable picture.
