  Really proves Pattinson as a character actor, many roles he's been undertaking in the past couple years have been starting to show this but the way he turns himself into a grubby little goofy guy and a short tempered asshole with a heart of gold is astonishing; great comedic performance in a very physical way as well. Overall a lot of fun and very romantic. Comes to a head very quickly which feels stilted and rushed but whatever really, the pacing throughout makes it work. Toni Collette is also a real star

  It's very weird to see the particular markings of James Wan and his imitators in clunky dialogue and stiff actors brought up to speed with an extraordinarily stylized camera and editing. Unbelievablely disjointed script and narrative, some cool elements but I don't think they're enough to save the whole thing for me. Not boring or unejoyable, probably worth watching, but I doubt I'd do it again

  There's no conflict about if pinnochio is a real boy or not throughout the movie??? He's just made into one at the end??? There's other robots just in the movie as well so it doesn't seem that big of a deal that pinnochio was made by Geppetto???
