Scavenger Hunt #120 - Prompt #31: Watch a movie from the obsession in movies list

    Cult of Personality 2025
    Prompt: 21. Sarah Paulson
    Total: 11/52

This movie is a tense psychological thriller that keeps you on edge with its gripping story and strong performances. Sarah Paulson is always a delight as she excelled here as a chilling, overprotective mother hiding dark secrets. Kiera Allen also shined here delivering a compelling and resourceful performance. The film’s tight pacing and suspenseful direction make for an engaging watch. Overall, this was a very solid movie that I enjoyed.

Scavenger Hunt #120 - Prompt #5: Watch a movie with one of the main 4 of anchorman in it (Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, or David Koechner) that isn't anchorman.

I’ve seen a few scenes of this movie before. I have been meaning to check out the whole thing with a full watch. Unfortunately, the movie as a whole is a below average comedy with not much redeeming qualities. With a solid cast, I expected more to be honest.…

    The 2025 Cult Movie Challenge
Week 4: 80s Teen Comedy Week

    Week 4: Jan. 22-Jan. 28 (L)

Riff Randell and Kate Rambeau are amazing characters. I enjoyed this movie a lot and feel it is quite underrated, but at times it did feel like a little much. This was truly a punk-fueled teen comedy that perfectly captures the rebellious spirit of rock music. The film thrives on its campy humor, absurd antics, and infectious energy. I can definitely see why this is regarded as a cult classic. Perhaps if I enjoyed The Ramones more this would be rated higher for me.

    Horror x 52 (2025 Edition)
    Film: 11/52
Prompt: 20. Any film screened at a Frightfest event.

This movie was crazy on a whole new level. This was a gripping, stylish thriller that hooks you from its opening moments and refuses to let go. With a traditional cat-and-mouse setup, this film goes a lot deeper than that. It becomes injected with raw tension, clever storytelling, and unpredictable twists. The lead performances are outstanding, with the central duo delivering layered, magnetic portrayals that elevate the film. The cinematography is striking as well and looked great. The nonlinear storyline was an interesting touch as well.
