Someone please lay down the law re: how much of a movie you can sleep through and still be allowed to log. I maybe saw a third, but it was enough to know that I would have cried if I watched the whole thing. Pregnancy sleepiness is just my body protecting me from pregnancy (extra) teariness.

The Business of Being Born 2008
I’ve consumed a lot of natural childbirth content (not to mention having had one myself) prior to watching this, and while I recognize that this film was impactful at the time, 2008 was a WHILE ago. Just an absolute feast for the senses.
Yes, the dresses, the diamonds, the pastries, the hair dressed like pastries… but also the rich sunlight, vibrant fields of wildflowers, the swishing of satin against grass.
A sensuous portrayal which perhaps felt all the more fervent with that nagging, impending doom there to underscore it.
