Jacques Tourneur might be my favourite discovery of the last few months. Out of the Past is an almost perfect Noir film, Robert Mitchum and Jane Greer are excellent, and the ending is shocking, particularly for the 40s.

I know this gets a lot of criticism for being disjointed and just being a collection of scenes, but that's what makes Gummo so special.
