Mufasa: The Lion King 2024
It was inoffensive at best, unremarkable at worst. It not making me angry for reiterating a better movie verbatim already puts it head and shoulders above the 2019 remake. The first act was easily the strongest and had moments that had me surprised over how invested I was getting. Then the rest of it failed to put in as much effort.

This is easily the best of the Sonic films, primarily because it trimmed the fat that bogged down the previous two and cut to the chase of what it knows what we’re there to see. If anything, it succeeds by giving exactly what it promises at an easy to follow and entertaining pace.

Spider-Man: No Way Home 2021
Favorite MCU thing of the year easily.
A surprisingly tender blockbuster with less of a focus on spectacle than I thought. Very character based and dialogue intensive, but still fiercely entertaining. Tom Holland sells the painful compromises that come with being Spider-Man very well and cement him as my favorite Peter Parker.
Definitely in top 3 Spider-Man movies for me and caps off definitively my favorite MCU trilogy.
