  Oo this was good. Trailer doesn’t do this movie justice. I got sucked in so much that I couldn’t wait to see what happened next. Hard to describe the story without context, so all I can say is go in with an open mind and just enjoy. NEON has been putting out some pretty great indie horror flicks in recent years - looks like A24 has a competitor!

  Visuals were fun, loved all the actors involved, but surprisingly, didn’t top any of the other Eggers films for me. Just wasn’t as scary as I was expecting. It felt more like I was watching a gothic drama theatre play, but I guess that’s kinda how the original one was. Didn’t really add anything new to the story, except Orlok was like a whole new character in this version - he looked kinda cool. Dug the stache. Also, Count Orlok really shouldn’t skip leg day..
