  Rogue Nation is the refined product of trial and error throughout the MI franchise. It feels like they finally figured it out with this one and really hit their groove. The crew is set, we're continuing on a clearer path that's linked to the previous movies, and the addition of Rebecca Ferguson is chefs kiss.

  Soderbergh doing his damn thing. Sharp and tight. Unfortunately it's one of those spy thrillers that needs to come with an explainer, but otherwise quite sleek and entertaining all around with great performances.

  Had the chance to catch this a little early, followed by a Q&A with Sean Baker. Definitely the most I've laughed out loud in the theater in quite some time, but I do think the movie has a Cannes crowd kind of feel to it (if that makes sense). Very funny with hectic energy. Mikey Madison radiates off the screen. A slight slog in the middle but otherwise quite the week long bender packed into 2+ hours.
