It’s no surprise that among the European directors Brady Corbet has mentioned during the press run of “The Brutalist”, he has not mentioned Jean-Luc Godard. Probably because the aesthetics of his work doesn’t influence him and probably because Godard would hate this film. And probably Michaelangelo Antonioni would hate this too.
