  If I had a nickel for how many times in one week I watched a movie in which a major plot point revolved around pie, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice, right?

  I am not naturally drawn to the anime genre. But man this one got me. Particularly in the final 30min it built a La La Land-esque case but with the opposite ending. A chance to start over and connect with endless possibilities—either good or bad. Also just beautiful imagery and stunning soundtrack. This is the kind of movie that I think most people would enjoy even if they don’t like the medium.
