  Pattinson is very good, quickly becoming another one of the “Swiss army knife” actors popping up around Hollywood. Collette and Ruffalo did well too. After Poor Things for Mark and “insert any recent creepy movie” for Toni, these roles felt natural for them. 

  I think what I’m coming to appreciate more about film is its ability to present its ideology/agenda in a subtle way. Compared to something like Parasite, this film is essentially screaming its ideology in your face the whole…

  The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring 2001

  Didn’t think I could love this film more, but saw it on the big screen for the first time, and wow, it just changed the game for me. 95% of this movie holds up so well, and its nearly as old as I am. I will say, the extended edition is far better than the theatrical cut. But Fellowship is perhaps the only one for which this is true (pending a rewatch).
