Le Samouraï 1967
I…kinda liked it?
The settings, the music and the pacing are very good and the story has a really nice crescendo. The suspense is great but the ending was a bit lacking for me. Harakiri 1962
“The samurai honor is nothing but a facade.”
Harakiri (1962) is a great film about the true morality of honor codes we try to bestow in our community. I read somewhere this film was representative of the feeling of anti-authority in post-war Japan , and I totally see it . Master Tsugumo telling his story and proving the hypocrisy of the so called “honorable” samurais was an amazing message!

Frances Ha 2012
“I’m so embarrassed I’m not even a real person yet”
Starting 2024 with the most “Literally me” movie to ever come out.
I love this movie to its core! I love the uncertainty and the confusion and the wanting of emotional intimacy in your life and everything else. Frances is a mess but she’s always herself in every situation. She’s so charming in her clumsiness I can’t help smiling every time I see her. I have nothing but love for this movie.
