  oh to be at an outdoor cafe on the beach under the stars in a rural Indian village….

  this was the best movie I’ve seen in a long time! it covered so much (female friendship, first love, heartbreak, gender dynamics and societal pressures, urbanization/displacement via capitalism) but was grounded in female characters that felt so authentic and real. even while capturing romantic relationships with men, the movie was fully centered on the women. I loved prabhu’s shift from deep cynicism…
