    Silly but honestly so fun. I mean, is it a crime to rely on hot and charismatic actors with good chemistry? Granted there were a lot of dumb choices (music, text overlay, pacing) but the flaws were mostly so noticeable they became forgivable. If that makes sense.

    Cool that this is a big Hollywood blockbuster, both the fact of it and in light of its content. It most obviously is easy liberal feminist pastiche for the self-care era (cf. the Barbies being individual “cured” upon the realization that patriarchy has caused them to suffer from “cognitive dissonance”, Barbie-world having gender relations mirroring the real world in many ways) and deeply heteropessimist (Barbie’s attitude toward Ken, Ken’s own attitude toward patriarchy).
