probably my least favorite in the trilogy. love the era: the satanic panic, the rise of serial killers and the golden age of porn thanks to home video could serve as an incredible ambience for a frenetic story such as Body Double (1984) but nonetheless, Ti West decided to take it easy and turn MaXXXine into somewhat of a slasher/cult horror story.

lovely to see that Mia Goth took part in writing the movie, you can just sense the female touch within the dialogues, making the minutes long monologue about self-frailty become the perfect descent to madness and a proper resolution to this woman.
also props to Ti West for editing the movie and being involved in production, which hopefully allowed him to communicate his vision as clear as possible and turning this film…
