  looks like i will be sleeping with a nightlight on tonight. oh wow, i liked this! as someone who hates singular location horror movies, this really hit. it has that classic “blame the women when controlling everything through christianity doesn’t work” element, which, compounded with the ending, made me like it even more.

  it’s just so unsettling and satanic throughout. and it has what might be one of the most disturbing death scenes i’ve ever seen—at least in my opinion.…

  i think the reason people maybe aren’t liking this movie as much is because they’re going into it expecting a horror, or something purely scary. and not realizing it’s a horror comedy. i don’t think that’s “people’s” fault, though, i kind of think it’s the fault of the advertising. i liked it a lot! you’re watching it and always expecting something: whether that’s a really gory death/plot twist or some incredibly awkward joke/bit.

  hear me out. why did i hate all the main characters? like. i need someone to root for, but they were all bad people. i didn’t hate it but tbh i was bored. i didn’t reallyy care what the outcome would be because i didn’t really have a person i wanted to win or whatever. also. zerooo closure. but i mean. zendaya is everything. and cinematically it’s obviously a good film.
