I am a LiLo defender until the day I die and this movie is no exception. Incredible use of Face Down by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. This would honestly be four stars if it didn’t end with that stupid line about marriage from Harlan.

Nickel Boys 2024
What a stunning, innovative, and gut wrenching movie. Creates a narrative that draws you in and gives witness to the pain of it’s characters without feeling hopeless or exploitative. It is honestly too good for all the awards it was disappointingly not nominated for. Saw this at E St Cinema on it’s last day before it closed shop and it was the perfect movie to say goodbye with :(
