I can’t remember a movie where I was more convinced that the actor was actually their character. I swear he is Elvis. Where this movie could have been a bad interpretation and yet another Elvis impersonator, it absolutely wasn’t. I was amazed at his mannerisms and ability to perform as Elvis did. Really incredible.

There were some flaws that had Elvis himself not been so incredible would have ruined this show for me. I felt that Tom Hanks’ delivery was…

A movie full of joys. Bright, colorful, heart-warming and clever. I especially loved that there wasn’t a grand journey afar or a devastating villain. It was a simple story with wonderfully written characters. This hearkened closer to the Disney originality and imagination that I feel has been lacking in recent Disney films.

I went in with 0 expectations for this film. I mainly wanted to see it to see how they justify turning a puppy-killer into a protagonist. IT WAS SO GOOD! From start to finish I was thoroughly entertained, laughing, and surprised! I left the theater wanting to see it again! I’ve not been a fan of Disney’s re-creating classics in live-action trend, and expected to feel disappointed similar to the post-Lion King feeling. I was completely wrong. This is their best live action to date, and had a refreshingly novel plot line with an almost Wicked-like retelling of a villainy backstory.
