Unfortunately recording this as a film I have watched on letterboxd so I can avoid making the mistake again. Not great. I thought not to judge the simple sounding name, as I wanted it to be a gem of a movie about a woman who defines her own career. Although she did take charge of her career, it was definitely in the background and obscured by cringe. The trope of a woman being an uncontrollable shopaholic has not aged well, and should even have been archaic in 2009. Would not recommend.
