The Killing of a Sacred Deer 2017
took me years to finally watch this and….oh yorgos. he’s one of those directors whose movies you can watch and just immediately know it’s their work. the slow zoom ins, the off putting dialogue cadence that reeeeeeks tension, and humor. he’s so funny at the worst times.
the movie itself was exactly what i expected-which is good! i don’t think i had to overthink a lot of its themes and it also wasn’t so in-your-face with its direction. a nice, tense, cringey watch.
