- As someone who struggles with secondhand embarrassment, this movie wasn’t an easy watch. It was therapeutic in a sense though. Benjamin is incredibly relatable in perhaps the worst way: foolish, socially awkward and ridden with so much self-doubt. Thank god he’s still so likable; all of the characters really are in their own right. [Protag’s Name] is brilliant playing Benjamin the Bumbler. There are two love stories going on here, one of romance and one of self that balance out perfectly here. There’s also a great bit of excellent and hilarious satire on the indie art world. Nothing really failed to work here, very good.

Just when I was thinking sporty gays needed more representation!! Actually though, this has a lot of heart and is sexy as hell. There’s some solid discourse about dating in the gay scene today and the problems of our open relationship era in the notoriously small friend network of gay men. Loved the characters and saw myself in a lot of them. Definitely worth a rewatch.
