Sound of Metal 2019
Driven by a first class performance from Riz Ahmed, The Sound Of Metal is a film about life being an absolute bitch by taking away things that are most important to you and leaving you helpless. Ruben's (played by Ahemed) journey down this painful and unfamiliar part of life is absolutely heartbreaking as he puts everything on the line to get back to the happiness he once had. The film is perfectly paced and is so self aware of what it is and tries to be nothing else.
