A lot of complex thoughts on this, not sure what score I’d necessarily give it, but just know that it inspired a lot of thought. The setup and characters set up are just phenomenal. Brooklyn just feels so full and alive here, with no one feeling like a caricature, despite some ridiculous nicknames and personality traits. Bong Joon Ho’s english movies are both highly enjoyable but intensely frustrating for me. Mickey-17, like Okja and Snowpiercer, is a thinly veiled (extreme emphasis on thin) commentary on the ills of capitalism.
