The Incredible Jessica James 2017
The first third of this movie seemed run of the mill—a classic plot with quirky characters. The humor, at times, reads very 2010s (which makes sense). But as the story developed, it showed a lot of heart.
Jessica James is in her mid-20s and she still doesn't have her life together. She is trying to get her playwright career off the ground. I'm almost the same age as her, and I resonated a lot with what she was going through. I was especially touched by the teaching side plot.
