  more queer movies need to be made through a lens thats not heteronormative. films like call me by your name and other films that make it big in the media are primarily written and made through a heteronormative gaze and while cmbyn is a beautiful movie and really well made on most parts, it’s romanticism of queer relationships is misrepresentative of queerness.
