Master Gardener 2022
A hopeful and sincere Paul Schrader for a change. Tediously mellow and gently poetic. Loved how well the tone of the movie blends together with its themes but I would have appreciated some striking imagery to complement it altogether. I couldn't help but space out from time to time. A rather fulfilling clunky afternoon watch.

The Master 2012
It felt a bit obtuse in the grand scope of things. Don't get me wrong, the cinematography, the editing, the score, and obviously the performances were all phenomenal. And I get that this movie is more character-driven, but once I understood the dynamic between Dodd and Freddie it got a bit frustrating for me to sit through the rest of it.
