  Ali fear eats the soul is a pretty good movie. It delves into the racism and xenophobia of west Germany in the 70s and also manages to explore romance and the societal pressures of that time. Initially I thought it was really complex and an interesting film, and the female lead is such a great and interesting character. However, the lack of exploration of Ali’s character makes him a symbol of racism rather than an actual character with actual thoughts.…
