  It wasn't really bad, but certainly wasn't memorable either. Seemed like a holiday special — here's a bunch of celebrities that you like in funny wigs and costumes in something that could pass for a story!

  As a person who walked in without expectations to begin with, I have to take off my hat and acknowledge just how uninspired, plain and soulless this turned out to be. The film moves along the Nosferatu story (with minor alterations) without a sense of command, fueling the process with acting that ranges from passable to hilariously bad.

  A vampire film without desire running through it is by definition a sad ordeal to sit through, but Eggers's indecisive, essentially absent direction brings along surprising levels of mediocrity.
