The Brutalist 2024
Amazing score and a spoils of beautiful shots. Loved the visuals in the marble mines. I didn’t have a problem with the length, and found the intermission and contrast between parts one and two well done.
For a movie that felt like it tried so hard though, I was slightly underwhelmed. So much character development that sort of felt like it led to nowhere. I left the theater feeling thrown off by the epilogue and unclear of what I was supposed to take away from the story’s end.

Anna Kendrick tells the shocking story of a serial killer who not only participated in, but won, a dating show on national television. She does so by telling the story of multiple victims, with minimal focus on why or even who the murderer is. The movie evokes moments of genuine horror.
