The Minus Man 1999
Not really a big fan of serial killer movies. But I was compelled to watch this because it has a soundtrack that was mostly composed on an instrument called 'Cristal Baschet' which has an eerie spooky feel.
The film does delve pretty well into the dualistic nature of how serial killers have operated historically where they're not these hyper-aggressive macho men, but intelligent demure men with some sort of grudge or disorder. Doing all this killing while keeping somewhat normal…

The Banshees of Inisherin 2022
went in expecting this to be something like a hypothetical "In Bruges 2" and it delivered that and more. It was visually stunning. This part of Ireland is absolutely gorgeous. Breathtaking shots of the livestock and the landscapes really added so much to this film. The focus on male friendships and the literal violence that men will go to avoid having deep emotional conversations is really apparent. and the events are not as unrealistic as they seem. Incredible dark comedy.
