Throughout the movie I kept wondering, "is this movie really good or pretty bad?" and then it all came to nothing and I decided it was pretty bad.
The truth is the dialogue is mostly not very good (especially the priest's, whose weighty digressions on morality etc were so dumb that it prompted laughter in the theater.) and the characters were fairly flat.

Hard to say something coherent about this movie - a surprising cast, most everyone giving kind of weird german accents. But surprisingly gripping for a spy movie with no clear antagonist or, really, conflict.
It's shocking to me that this movie came out in 2003 because it totally feels like a mid-90s movie. When I was watching it (not realizing that), I thought to myself how perfect this was at capturing the mood of that mid-90s cyberpunk aesthetic. Oh well.
It is kind of worth watching if you are super into cyberpunk but don't expect anything remotely new. There are a couple interesting scenes but otherwise it is pretty meh.
An interesting premise that ends in farce. I watched this because I heard it was one of the inspirations for Run, Lola, Run and I suppose I could see that in the sense that you have some people who do a lot of running and you get to see the backstory for each of them. Otherwise it is totally different - a strange comedy in which three down-on-their luck men find meaning in the simple act of running.
