  Linklater captures the aimlessness of being in your early 20s with no direction. Working some dead end job just to get drunk and hang out with your buddies. Steve Zahn and Parker Posey are great as always. I see some of the young version of myself in the Giovanni Ribisi character. Probably more than I care to admit.

  A lot of potential but uneven and sometimes clunky. Too bad we never got a sequel to improve on the weaknesses. I enjoyed it mostly. Especially for the stacked cast of character actors that appear.

  Mid tier Coen brothers, which is still pretty good. Love the screwball performances by Paul Newman and Jennifer Jason Leigh. Excellent score by Carter Burwell.
