Unfortunately this movie became a bit of a meme over the years and I didn’t see merit in the first hour of the movie; though it gets incredibly fun in the last act. So much fun!! And honestly, with so much style in a film, how can you dislike it when its goal of being surreal and wacky was achieved?

Oh Lady Snowblood, you will always be famous. Yes I love exploitation movies and I love that this one in particular inspired Kill Bill. Meiko Kaji is one of the most beautiful women in the world btw. Also she sang a lot of the songs on the soundtrack!!! This movie is incredibly stylish, they truly do not make them like this anymore

LOVE Harry dean Stanton and Dean Stockwell, visually stunning movie, beautiful soundtrack, love the conceptual themes. That being said…the last hour of the movie really dragged unfortunately. I WILL rewatch this movie and hopefully a rewatch will change my mind
